The Lira Ensemble Presents "ZaprasZamy" a new Broadway-style production - the first ever American musical of Polish Song and Dance - from folk to Chopin, that tells the story of Polish people in America.
"ZaprasZamy" features a huge cast of young dancers and singers in a breathtaking succession of colorful and authentic costumes, accompanied by a full orchestra, complemented by splendid stage décor and lighting effects.
"ZaprasZamy" spotlights folk songs and dances of regions that are the ancestral homes of many Polish Americans...ancient Polish midsummer night traditions...a bit of Polish opera...sensuous Polish tangos...lively polkas...and emotional songs of immigration.
